Program summary: In our first session, we will focus on how Eduprotcols can help Set The Tone for SEL and UDL in your classroom community. Universal Design for Learning (UDL), especially the Engagement Principle, has a strong connection to Social Emotional Learning (SEL). During this session, we will learn about the connection between SEL and UDL as we engage in Eduprotocols.
During our second session, we will look at how Eduprotocols can Ramp Up Rigor with the 4Cs in your classroom. One call to action in many of our standards is to prepare students for the“21st century” by ensuring students are college and career-ready. This preparation includes the use of the 4C’s (Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking). Evidence of the need for these 4 C’s is embedded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL). To create truly student-centered, personalized learning opportunities, teachers must design lessons with intention. By adding a “C” to a lesson, we ramp up rigor and engagement.
